The focus of my art is on Southwest aesthetics that incorporates adobe earthen architecture found in Northern New Mexico which utilizes light and shadow to create a quiet serene feeling for my viewers. In the paintings I've been working on I have been breaking down images to simpler forms and colors to emulate that of adobe building materials. I use color to create a striking yet gentle feel that brings a warmth to the land and the calmness to the shadows. The feel and inspiration I have comes from my home of Taos Pueblo. It's a very special place and I want to show my viewers how I see and feel about the Pueblo.
